Beyond V1 Nordic Skate Clinic
Breckenridge, Jan. 3
10 a.m., Gold Run Nordic Center, 200 Clubhouse Dr. This cross country ski clinic works on techniques to make your skating as efficient, fast and fun as possible in any terrain. $20 per clinic. (970) 453-1734.
Woodward Winter Classes
Copper Mountain, Jan. 4
4 p.m., Copper Mountain Resort, 209 Ten Mile Circle. Mini Class, Ninja Training Class and Kids Skateboard Class all kick off for the winter.
Brexpedition Tour
Breckenridge, Jan. 4
11 a.m., Breckenridge Welcome Center, 203 S Main St. This enlightening orientation will provide the 411 on where to eat, shop and play in town interspersed with intriguing facts about historic Breck. This is a must-do event if you are new to town, or just want a better handle on where the gondola is, where to grab lunch with the kids, where to get your Breck souvenirs, and of course, where to go learn about the wonderfully rich history of this charming town.
Chocolate Village/Holiday Display
Keystone, Jan. 3
Keystone Lodge & Spa. New this year are several STAR WARS additions to the presents under the tree. The first day of our display coincides with the opening date of the newest Star Wars movie The Force Awakens. All made from chocolate we are adding R2D2, C3po, At-AT walker, Chewbacca, Yoda, Darth Vader, Storm trooper, Millennium falcon, TIE fighter pilot, and introducing BB-8.
