6 p.m., Breckenridge Riverwalk Center, 150 W. Adams Ave. The 4th annual BellyWeena family friendly belly dance recital and variety show benefiting Advocates for Victims of Assault. The show is at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 cash/credit card for every belly over 10 years old and there is a silent auction at intermission. Mad Science Session Begins

4:30 p.m., Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road. Your budding scientist enjoys fun, safe experiments like creating rockets, egg drop contests and making ooey gooey messes! It’s a great way to stimulate their creativity and curiosity. Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Domus Pacis Family Respite Food for Families Friday
Frisco, Oct. 9
11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Summit County Community and Senior Center, 83 Nancy’s Place. Help create meals to nourish families on a cancer journey by allowing them time to relax and enjoy their respite week in Summit County. Bring an apron if available, a way to tie back or cover your hair, and closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles.
