Freud’s Last Session

6:30 p.m., The Lake Dillon Theatre Company, 176 Lake Dillon Drive. In September 1939, 83-year-old Dr. Sigmund Freud welcomes Oxford C. S. Lewis into his office. While they anxiously await news of Britain’s entering the Second World War, the unlikely pair embarks on an intellectual journey involving love, sex, the existence of God, and the meaning of life.

1 p.m., Fuqua Livery Stable, 110 E Washington Ave. Bring a current or past painting to work on. Receive guidance on how to overcome challenges that are preventing you from completing a successful painting. Leadville Ski Joring & Crystal Carnival

Leadville, March 8
All day, Downtown. One part Old West and one part extreme sports, Leadville celebrates winter with its annual ski joring weekend. The event, which consists of horse-and-rider teams pulling skiers down a snow-packed road over jumps while spearing rings in a timed competition, draws teams from all over the country.

11 a.m., Gold Run Nordic Center, 200 Clubhouse Drive. The Gold Run Nordic Center offers great snowshoe trails, snowshoe rentals and snowshoe tours the whole family can enjoy.
