Frisco Main Street construction moves to Seventh Avenue

#Frisco, Colorado.

Construction in Frisco at the Main Street intersection with Madison Avenue is wrapping up as the “Step Up Main Street” project moves to its next phase down the road.
On Monday, Sept. 8, from about 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., milling work will start on Main Street from Seventh Avenue to Madison Avenue, and the eastbound lane of Main Street will experience a rolling closure (one to two blocks at a time).
Also on Monday, work will begin on Seventh Avenue between Main Street and the Granite Street alley. That part of Seventh Avenue will be closed until Friday, Sept. 12.
Then from Sept. 15 through Oct. 31, drainage work will proceed on the eastbound lane of Main Street from Seventh Avenue to Madison Avenue, which will cause one- to two-block closures.
During these one-lane closures on Main Street, the westbound lane will remain open and drivers can use Granite Street for detours.
“We really appreciate the patience and understanding being expressed by businesses and locals as we work on this first phase of the Step Up Main Street project.”
Rick Higgins
assistant Public Works director
“We really appreciate the patience and understanding being expressed by businesses and locals as we work on this first phase of the Step Up Main Street project. We have seen our share of rain during this project, but the weather over the past few days really allowed us to get back on schedule,” said Rick Higgins, assistant Public Works director.
Generally, construction will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, but in consideration of weather, progress will be evaluated throughout the project and work may be allowed on Saturdays or during more expanded hours.
