Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort change operating hours for spring

#Breckenridge, Colorado.

As of yesterday, April 7, through their respective closing dates, both Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort are moving to their spring ski lift operating hours, according to a Vail Resorts news release.
The resorts are expected to operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with upper lifts at Breckenridge opening approximately a half-hour later, conditions permitting. Guests are advised to check for the most up-to-date terrain and lift status information online at Keystoneresort.comor Breckenridge.com.
More than 6,000 acres of combined terrain is expected to be available for skiers and riders until Keystone’s closing day, slated for April 20. Terrain for all ability levels will remain open, including Breckenridge’s upper mountain terrain and Peak 6. Both resorts also have scheduled events throughout April.
At Keystone, daily Kidtopia events continue through April 20, and closing weekend will be celebrated with the resort’s fourth annual Slush Cup pond skimming competition and a mountain Easter egg hunt.
Due to above-average snowfall, Breckenridge recently announced an extension of its ski season through Sunday, April 27. In previous years, only terrain on Peak 8 was open during extended seasons. This year, Breck will continue to offer three of its peaks during the extended week, with Rip’s Ride, 5 Chair, Colorado SuperChair, T-bar, Imperial SuperChair, Independence SuperChair, Zendo Chair, and Kensho SuperChair all slated for operation on Peaks 6, 7 and 8, according to the release. The season extension provides guests with a final chance to ski or ride Breck’s newly-added terrain on Peak 6 during its inaugural season.
