BRECKENRIDGE
Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road
If you need a way to relax before the craziness that is St. Patrick’s Day, the Breckenridge Recreation Center is offering $5 Hot Tub Happy Hour on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16. From 5 to 7 p.m., $5 per person gets you full use of the rec center, including the pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, water slide, showers, sauna, stretching area and more.
The rec center will also be hosting St. Paddy’s Day shenanigans on the field on Saturday, March 15, with the third-annual Snowpitch Softball Tournament. Registration is closed for the 21 and older tournament, sponsored by Coors Tap the Rockies, but spectators are welcome. Breckenridge Ski Resort
On Saturday, March 15, Breckenridge Ski Resort is hosting the T-Bar and Sevens Barefoot Wine event. From 2 to 5 p.m., show up at Sevens Restaurant at the base of Peak 7 or T-Bar at the base of Peak 8 for giveaways, drink recipes, a “Get Barefoot and Have a Great Time” contest and a cork toss.
Breckenridge is also hosting the Royal Flush Big Mountain Comp on Saturday, March 15, with snowboard and ski categories in different age groups. The contest will take place in Peak 8’s Contest Bowl. Burke & Riley’s Irish Pub, 520 S. Main St.
Burke & Riley’s Irish Pub, right off Main Street, will open at 8 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17. Snag a traditional Irish breakfast or an eye-opener shot of Jameson first thing in the morning while a DJ spins beats to get you in an Irish mood. The restaurant and bar will also be serving homemade corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash and their famous fish and chips.
Stick around for live Irish and American music from Denver band Sherman Woods at noon, or rock out Irish style to live bagpipe music. The green beer will be flowing, and Burke & Riley’s will have their special St. Patrick’s Day T-shirts and will be giving away beads and hats.
“We’re going to have the open patio,” said co-owner Mark Burke. “Bands will be playing outside because the weather’s suppose to be beautiful. It’s the only holiday of the year that everybody celebrates no matter what nationality you are. Everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.”

KSMT and LIF FM’s third-annual Putt n Pub Crawl, presented by Copper Mountain, will take place Friday, March 14, from 3 to 9 p.m. Teams of four can register for $40 for this mini golf and bar crawl all in one. Prizes will be awarded for best costume, best and worst scores, best team name, best team spirit, golfy-est team, best team dance at the after party, class clowns and the most or best hole in one.

Woodward, East Village and Center Village
Join Analog and Woodward at Copper for Go Huck Yourself, a jam-style contest on Woodward’s 22-foot quarter-pipe located in Central Park Terrain Park on Saturday, March 15. Free registration is located at the Woodward at Copper Cage from 9 to 11 a.m. and the contest starts at noon. Skiers and riders compete to win free gear from Analog and Woodward.

Copper Mountain Resort Ambassadors invite guests on a free Moonlight Snowshoe Tour from 6 to 9 p.m. The tour starts from West Village and traverses frozen creeks and wooded trails, leading to a romantic meadow lit by the full moon.

Lake Dillon Tavern, 119 LaBonte St.
The Lake Dillon Tavern will open at noon on Monday, March 17, with corn hole tournaments starting at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Todd Johnson will be playing Irish tunes from 4 to 9 p.m., and the 2 Gingers Whiskey Promotional Team will be at the bar from 7 to 9 p.m. with giveaways and whiskey tastings. Red Mountain Grill will be serving up a special menu this year for St. Patrick’s Day on Monday, March 17, including house-brined corned beef and cabbage, lamb stew made with Colorado lamb, Irish egg rolls stuffed with beef, Swiss cheese and cabbage and Colorado lamb sliders with Guinness-braised onions. John Arpin has lived in Summit County for 21 years and has been the executive chef at Red Mountain Grill for the past eight. He said he has his own St. Patrick’s Day tradition.

The Cala Inn will open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17, for an Irish breakfast, and the whiskey will be flowing. It’s a fun place to be on St. Patrick’s day: The place is packed wall to wall, plus everybody and their brother comes in here and eats corned beef and cabbage that day, even though we sell corned beef and cabbage all day every day.”
